The ancient maxim of Aesop "As the form is, so is the soul" fits perfectly in my approach to the various skin diseases that trouble humans. This, because the beauty hidden in our soul also appears on our skin and vice versa.

Dermatology - Venereology is a specialty which, beyond the image, also deals with the Mental sphere of each patient. Each Dermatologist must approach each incident both in terms of his skin problem, if it exists, and in the mental one because the image of the skin affects the mental sphere. One can imagine this relationship as if it were a couple that we must help to have a balance between them, so that both members are in complete harmony.

What I mean when I say that the Skin and the Soul are a unit: A severe and widespread skin disease, such as Acne, Eczema or Psoriasis for example, can lead the patient to social isolation and inner withdrawal due to its image. The Dermatologist, if he treats the patient correctly and helps him to obtain a healthy skin without a pathological clinical picture, will also benefit his mental health since he will offer him relief and he will now be satisfied with his image.
